Forest Reflections/Wanstead House Exhibition

The View exhibition is now running. We have decided to cancel the Wanstead House exhibition. See Exhibitions page. We have also cancelled the demonstrations for October and November. We shall try to book the artists for next year.

Lockdown Exhibitions

We have two exhibitions organised for members paintings in lockdown.

Lockdown Postcard Painting Competition

A competition open to all members to paint a small image which can be sent by post, and then put up on the Essex Art Club website. John Tookey will judge the winners and three small cash prizes will be awarded at our exhibition in the autumn. Any Subject, Any Medium, Title, Name and medium on the reverse. Maximum size 5 x 8 inches (13 x 20cm).
Usual EAC Rules requirement not to breach any copyright.
Only work done during Lockdown.
Exhibition entries closed. Work will be stored until it can be returned, when we meet next.

Wanstead House Exhibition Competition

We have a second competition for you that was intended for the end of October at the Wanstead House Exhibition. This is still open. Pictures will be exhibited at the next Wanstead House exhibition. Any subject or medium, providing it was done during the lockdown. Entries need to follow previous club rules for Wanstead events regarding max size, framing etc and we aim to hang them in their own spot in the next Wanstead exhibition. Further details in the next newsletter.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions were due on 1st January.

Membership cards are sent out after the AGM with time needed to finalise items and get them printed, addressed and posted. If you do not receive one it may be because you forgot to pay your subscription. Please contact the Hon.Treasurer.

Because we have had to cancel many of our activities, subscriptions for this year will be extended so that next year's subscriptions will be reduced. The amount has yet to be decided and will depend on how much of our activities need to be cancelled.

Sculpture

Due to the increased cost of insurance for three-dimensional items our insurance policy has been changed. We can no longer accept three-dimensional items for exhibition.

News Items

Members are invited to submit items for insertion to Derek Springham. Please allow plenty of time.
