I work directly in the landscape and in my studio evolve more abstract interpretations. The media employed include charcoal, watercolours, mixed media, acrylics. oils and sometimes printmaking. The work can result in very small to very large pieces.

Originally it was the huge skies of last Anglia which lead me to landscape painting. More recently the South of France has come to hold a special attraction for me. I enjoy the scents, heat, light and colours of the south. My painting seeks to respond to the atmosphere created by all the senses and I aim for expressive and abstract qualities rather than description. My work is a very personal view of the world.
