Valma Cheffins – Printmaker
I started etching during the sixties, this developed at Barking and Redbridge Colleges under Harry Ecceleston, Master Designer for the Bank of England, and with Michael Rothenstein and Valerie Thornton.
My themes are the decorative aspects of architecture and the natural world. I design and print these etchings myself.
I first exhibited in London in 1974. I have shown my work with the Printmakers’ Council, the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, the United Nations, magazine fairs, the National Trust, on Harlech Television and at the Guildhall in London.
Prints have sold worldwide.
