I graduated in Graphic Design at the London College of Printing, andworked in the field of graphics for a few years. Later I taught and
lectured in art and design, but now spend my time painting, mainly
in watercolour, and printing. I also help run the local Art Group.
I have exhibited in several Essex libraries, Buckenham Gallery in
Southwold, Suffolk, Nevill Gallery in Canterbury, and currently at
the Ash Gallery, Westcliff; Lindsell Gallery, Essex; and The Crooked
House Gallery, Lavenham, Suffolk. I regularly show work with the
Ongar Art Society and Essex Art Society, have held exhibitions at
Ingatestone Hall and had work selected for the Beecroft Gallery
Summer Open Exhibition for the past four years.
Images for my prints are taken from my everyday life; things which
have interested me or caught my eye. I try to capture the essence
of the experience, how it felt to be there, as much as describing the
scene pictorially.
