Sandy Connor
Studied graphic design at St Martin's School of Art and graduated in the final year of the National Diploma in Design.
Worked for industrial publisher, womens' magazines and later as a freelance
illustrator/designer working principally for children's books, annuals and comics.
Spent an interlude designing graphics for textiles, whilst studying for
an
Open University honours degree in Art History.
More recently enjoyed a period as printmaker-in -residence at Bancroft's
School,
Woodford Green which revived an interest in printmaking. Consequently
sought out
etching courses at the Slade summer school and Edinburgh Print Workshop.
Now resident mainly in Suffolk, work and exhibit with the Sudbourne Park
Printmakers Group, endeavouring to develop and improve printmaking skills in a
lively creative
environment.
Also enjoy pastel painting, watercolour, life drawing and portraits.
