Peter Hunt
Born: Windsor, 1947
Upon completing a pre-diploma course at Walthamstow School of Art in
1966 I began a long and successful career as a graphic artist in central
London. In those days I worked in inks, gouache and airbrush. In 2002 I
joined Halcyon Days in Brook Street as a fine artist in their Brook
Street studio, designing and hand drawing finished illustrations for the
highly collectable enamel boxes they produce. Now semi-retired I
continue to do freelance work and paint. Since 2007 I have
worked mostly in oils and have been preparing a body of work for
possible future exhibition. Recently I have illustrated in line two
children's books by Lorna Uglow and have had a picture, 'Bellagio, a Room with a View', accepted for the RA
Summer Exhibition, 2009.
A published musician, I enjoy writing and recording my own songs, and
still occasionally perform with live bands singing and playing the
guitar. Other interests include Poker, Backgammon and illustrated books
from 'The Golden Age'.
Studio address: 5 Ripley View, Loughton, Essex. IG10 2PB.
